Ask · Costs and care

Ask what the whole bill includes.

A drug price and a care bill are different questions. Keep both on the page before agreeing to a plan.

Start with what the price is for

Cagrilintide and CagriSema had no official US patient price at the September 28, 2026 check.

  • At that check, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which regulates drugs in the US, had approved neither drug.
  • Ask which medicine the advertised price pays for.
  • Ask whether the amount pays for a visit, a medicine, or both.

Separate the parts of the quote

Ask for a written total for a normal month after any offer ends.

  • The visit: a one-off charge or an ongoing membership?
  • The medicine: included or billed elsewhere?
  • Tests: who orders them and who bills them?
  • Follow-up: included or another fee?
  • Leaving: any notice period or charge to cancel?

An approved medicine gives a price to compare

The maker listed semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy) self-pay prices of $149 to $499 per month at the September 26, 2026 check.

Self-pay means paying outside insurance. The price depends on the product and how much medicine each shot or tablet contains.

  • New patients could get the starting injection offer only for certain prescribed strengths—the amount of medicine in each shot.
  • It covered the first two pharmacy supplies, each sold as one month of medicine.
  • Ask the pharmacy whether your exact prescription meets the offer terms.
  • Those are drug prices. Ask separately about the rest of the care bill.
  • At the September 26, 2026 check, terms for the starting injection offers ran through December 31, 2026.
  • The Wegovy price terms also called for an update after that date. The terms did not promise the same prices afterward.
  • Check the price for your exact medicine again before budgeting for later months.
